Antique Bowl, Flow Blue Conway Pattern, Blue and White, Chinoiserie

$29.00

Antique Flow Blue Conway Pattern Bowl

Flow blue (occasionally 'flown blue') is a style of white earthenware, sometimes porcelain, that originated in the regency era, sometime in the 1820s . The name is derived from the blue glaze that blurred or "flowed" during the firing process.

This beautiful flow blue bowl has a snowflake center medallion with a detailed swirl pattern. There is a white pattern on top of the porcelain along the rim. Maker's mark is on the side of the bowl and number stamped on the bottom. Great vintage antique condition.
