Vintage Delft Tile and Wood Trivet
'Delftware' describes all the tin-glazed earthenware made in the Netherlands and Britain. From the 1600s the most famous was made in Delft in South Holland. The well known Delft tiles appeared about 1620, inspired by the porcelain imported in huge quantities from China.
I love this Delft tile for the kitchen. Set it on the counter and use as a trivet or spoon rest. Hang it for that blue and white accent you've been looking for. The quote "Remember yesterday, dream about tomorrow but live for today" is the perfect mantra to greet you everyday. Great vintage condition.
