Foo dogs, also known as "Shishi" in China, were often displayed outside homes of wealth to ward off negative energy and protect the home. They were actually described as "Lions". This amazing pair of foo dogs have great detail and are a generous size. They are perfect on a table to flank a floral centerpiece. Add them to a shelf display for a whimsical look, or put them on a porch or patio surrounded by flower pots. Good vintage condition. One has been repaired on it's long whisker and there is one of the "dots" on the face that is slightly chipped. Both barely noticeable. See picture details as they are part of the description.
