Did you know that Portieux Vallerysthal is actually a glass company that started in France in 1705 and then combined with a German company in the 19th century to market to both French and German markets? They created this robin's egg blue glass called opaline. 

This beautiful cabbage leaf lidded dish has that signature colored glass. The edges are somewhat rough which shows that it is an older piece.
