Vintage Dish, Planter, Slag Glass, Akro Agate, Orange, Pink, White, Daffodils
Slag glass gets its name from slag, or the byproduct of steel production. When iron ore is smelted in that process, the remaining residue is a glass-like, often glossy material that takes on different colors depending on the minerals and elements present in the iron.
It's hard to imagine the person that realized that this "leftover" product could be used to make the most beautiful glass pieces. This dish has colors of orange, pink and white with embossed daffodils on each side There is a hairline crack on the rim. It is perfect to collect loose change, keys or office supplies. Also perfect as a planter for your favorite succulent.
