Fox hunting, as an organized activity, originated in England in the 16th century. the tradition inspired many artists to create works which involve the sport. They are usually displayed in very traditional settings and were a sign of a "higher class" of people. The sport has long been controversial. This pair of prints are beautifully framed in wood with a gold leaf finish. They are double matted in the traditional red and forest green colors. one shows the hunters on their horses gathered at the barn. The other picture shows the hunt itself, full of action.
