Vintage Platter - Chinoiserie, Blue and White, Homer Laughlin Shakespeare Country Blue Pattern

The Laughlin Pottery Company started in 1871 after the Civil War. Homer, and his brother Shakespeare were potters and businessmen. They built and opened a plant in 1874 in East Liverpool. The company moved to Newell, West Va and is still in business. It is the largest producer of china in the USA. This beautiful, round platter has a pastoral scene in the classic blue and white. Perfect for a charcuterie board, hors d'oeuvres, serving meat or hanging for display on a plate wall. Add it to your blue and white chinoiserie china collection. Great vintage condition.
