What's better than a blue and white platter? One with a colorful courting scene as the centerpiece! This large, porcelain platter was made in Japan. The details are amazing. The gentleman is wooing his lady with music noted by the lyre. He may have been reading her poetry. She has taken off her bonnet and looks lovingly in his eyes. They are surrounded by a pretty garden. There is some crazing typical with age, no chips and is great vintage condition considering the age.
